UMMA - You Are Here Exhibit - “Foreword, Forward”

A commission in partnership with the University of Michigan Museum of Art, focused on pairing visual artworks with student musical compositions and performances.

Foreword, Forward reflects the merging of technology with the story of humanity by incorporating technological elements into the musical landscape. The piece is structured around two open sections that address the sequential and free-flowing areas of Beverly Fishman's work, and is grounded by a twisting pattern mimicking the DNA-esque form present in H.H.H. (Brown/Black). In symbiosis with Fishman's work, Foreword, Forward aims to provide a tangible and powerful audiovisual experience.
